Seth Makowsky of MRG Makowsky Restaurant Group is pround to feature Three Square Food Bank for the month of May.
Three Square’s mission is to provide wholesome food to hungry people while passionately pursuing a hunger-free community. They are doing just that with the ninth annual Las Vegas Restaurant Week, June 15th – 26th. Twelve delicious days of dining that brings together over 140 of the world’s finest restaurants and local eateries. Las Vegas Restaurant Week gives restaurants in the community the opportunity to give back through the culinary arts. Imagine hanging out with celebrity chefs, unbelievable food and wine pairings, book signings, front row cooking demonstrations, and more.
A portion of proceeds from Restaurant Week helps Three Square in its fight to end hunger in Southern Nevada. The goal has been set: feed more than 315,000 food insecure people this year. If you are a Las Vegas restaurant and eatery, here’s what you need to know to prepare for the 12 days of giving back:
- To participate, please register at Las Vegas Restaurant Week. The agreement must be completed no later than Thursday, May 28.
- Make sure you are utilizing all that social media has to offer. Three Square will provide participants with a banner (in horizontal and vertical formats) that you can feature on your website. Your restaurant will in turn be promoted by Three Square’s social media channels through their customized #LVRW hashtag. Make sure you are following the action on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. When you use the #LVRW make sure to tag @threesquarelv. Three Square will re-tweet your restaurant’s information and updates. Guests and restaurateurs alike are encouraged to share their photos during Las Vegas Restaurant Week by using the same #LVRW on Instagram.
- Cool fact: In 2014, the menu page was one of the most viewed pages receiving over 560,000 visits.
